People record the notable hands — the big win, the brutal streak — and quietly drop the flat middle. The log that comes out of that is more volatile than the session that produced it.
Recording every bet from the client removes that selection entirely. It also makes the comparison you actually need possible: running the same settings with flat betting alongside your progression, over the same number of bets, and seeing which balance curve ends higher. That comparison is the only way to tell a strategy from a story, and it needs a complete log to mean anything.
